Becoming One with Christ

When we go through fiery trials with our eyes on Christ, we become what we behold.

Becoming one with Christ is not only sharing in His joys, like the joy of receiving a gift from God the Father such as the Holy Spirit, but it is also sharing in His sufferings. When I share Christ's sufferings, not only do I get to know Christ deeper, but I become more like Him in the fiery trials as I keep my eyes fixed on Him.
