I love God because He knows me and He lets me know through His word, like Psalm 139, that He knows everything about me. He knows what I like and what I don't. He knows how to choose the perfect mate for me better than I can. I liked 2 men in my life, and although they were great men of God, we were not compatible.
It is because God seeks my heart and knows everything going on in there that I desire to know Him. When a person takes interest in you, it is not hard to reciprocate the favor. Knowing God has been the best thing I ever did--knowing Him through His word, prayer, heavenly encounters, and songs deposited into my heart by Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Knowing God is more wonderful than words can express.
Because my relationship with God is so wonderful, I am glad that God wants me to love others the way He loves me and the way I love Him. He wants me to know His children and love them the way He does--intimately and experientially. It is impossible to know all the people we encounter this way, but if we, like Jesus, choose 3 special people in our lives and invite them to be part of our inner circle, we will experience a rich relationship with our fellowmen like we experience with God, for where 2 or 3 are gathered together, Christ's love remains.
